What is AA's Purpose?
Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of people who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism.

Who is welcome to an AA meeting?
Some meetings may be ‘open’ (to non-alcoholic visitors) or ‘closed’ (for alcoholics & those who think they might have a drink problem) – all meetings will list details about this.
Do I need to register to attend?
There’s no need to register to join a meeting, just show up.
Is AA a religious organisation?
AA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organisation or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy; neither endorses nor opposes any causes.
Is there a cost to join AA?
There are no dues or fees for AA. membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions.
